Parumbo

Privacy Policy

Parumbo is a music creation app for iPhone operated by Vladyslav Prykhodko (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the app and its supporting service. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@vprkh.dev.

The short version

Song creation happens online. When you ask Parumbo to write lyrics or create music, the text and sound choices needed for that request are sent to our servers and the providers that perform the work. Completed songs are stored for your personal library and downloaded to your device for playback.

Production app builds also collect product-usage analytics and technical crash and error reports to improve Parumbo and investigate failures. The song text you enter is excluded from these reports.

You do not need to enter an email address or create a password to start. However, Parumbo creates an account identifier and session so that songs and purchases can belong to you. This is not anonymous data: your content and purchase records are associated with that identifier.

Information we handle

  • Song content: the ideas, names, relationships, occasions, memories, lyrics, language, titles, and sound choices you submit, plus the lyrics and music created from them. Include another person’s information only when you have the right to do so. Avoid submitting confidential or sensitive information that is not needed for your song.
  • Account and session information: a generated user identifier, session identifiers, credential verification records, and timestamps. The app keeps its session credentials in the iOS Keychain.
  • Library information: songs, titles, creation times, favorites, and removal status. The app also stores drafts, playback state, and downloaded audio locally.
  • Purchase information: product and transaction identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status, refunds, and your song balance and usage. Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your card number or Apple Account password.
  • Technical information: request identifiers, job status, error categories, timing, and service diagnostics. Our hosting and network providers also process network information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service.
  • Product analytics: selected creation, listening, sharing, favorites, and purchase-flow events; a generated installation identifier and Parumbo account identifier; app and operating-system versions; app language; and limited timing and error information. These events can be associated with your account. We do not send the text of your names, ideas, stories, lyrics, or song titles in these analytics events.
  • Crash and error diagnostics: crash, app-hang, and technical error reports with limited device, operating-system and app information, stack information, and error categories. The app removes account identifiers, song text, request details, and attachments from these reports before sending them. We do not enable session replay or screenshots in these integrations.
  • Support messages: your email address and whatever information or attachments you choose to send when asking for help.

The app does not need access to your contacts, microphone, or precise location to create a song. Exported files are sent only to the destination you select through the system’s sharing or Files interface.

How we use it

We use this information to write lyrics and make music you request, deliver and play your songs, maintain your library and balance, verify purchases, recover eligible purchases, prevent duplicate charges or abuse, investigate failures, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. Product analytics helps us understand how features are used and where they succeed or fail. Crash and error diagnostics help us investigate technical problems.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, providing the requested service relies on performance of our contract with you. Security, fraud prevention, and reliability rely on our legitimate interests. Required financial or legal records rely on legal obligations.

Service providers

We use providers for the following parts of Parumbo:

Providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their processing and retention practices differ. In particular, the temporary draft expiry described below does not erase copies held by text-processing or infrastructure providers. Parumbo does not promise that all provider processing has zero retention.

We do not sell your personal information or use your song content for advertising. The app does not use advertising identifiers or cross-app advertising tracking. We may also disclose information where required by law or when necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or enforce our terms.

Storage and retention

  • Temporary lyric requests expire in our live draft service 24 hours after admission. After expiry they cannot be retrieved through that service; content is cleared by its cleanup process. This is separate from lyrics already saved on your device or included in a song creation request.
  • Created songs and their source content remain associated with your account to provide the library, downloads, and reliable processing. They do not share the temporary lyric draft’s 24-hour expiry.
  • Account, purchase, balance, and security records are kept as needed to operate the service, prevent repeated use of a transaction, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Analytics, diagnostics, and support correspondence are retained separately from temporary lyric drafts and your song library. Provider retention and deletion processes apply to records held in their services. You can request deletion through the contact details below.
  • Backups and provider records are separate from live app data. Removal from a live view does not mean every backup or provider copy has been erased at once.

Remove from My Music hides the song from your library and stops future playback access through that library. It is not a request to erase all stored audio, source text, or purchase records. Uninstalling the app also does not delete your server account or cancel an Apple subscription.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can edit your draft before starting creation, remove songs from My Music, export files, and manage purchases through Apple. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of server-held personal information, email support@vprkh.dev with the subject Parumbo privacy request. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account before acting; never send a password, session credential, or full payment card details.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data protection authority. We will respond under the applicable law and explain any records that must be retained.

In versions with Settings → Account → Delete account, you can request permanent deletion in the app. During onboarding, open Account options → Delete account. After the server accepts the request, it closes your sessions and prevents purchase-based recovery of that account. The app removes its local drafts, downloaded songs, and temporary exports from that iPhone. Unused song balance is lost. Copies you saved to Files or shared outside Parumbo remain under your control; copies on another offline device cannot be remotely removed immediately.

Server cleanup removes song files, song and lyric content, composition prompts, likes, and library browsing records. It runs asynchronously, including a later pass for in-flight music creation, and can take up to 15 days under normal operation. We also request deletion of the associated RevenueCat customer. Necessary account identifiers, deletion receipts, credential digests, and purchase/credit audit records remain restricted for payment disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, and preventing deleted accounts from being restored. These retained records are not anonymous. Restricted backup copies expire under the backup-retention schedule; deletion must be reapplied before a backup is restored to service.

Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately in Apple’s subscription settings to stop future renewal charges. If your version does not offer account deletion, or you need help with a request, contact the support address above.

Security

The app communicates with the service over HTTPS, and library access requires a valid session. Songs are not published to a public feed by creating them. Sharing an exported file is your choice; the recipient or service you select then handles that copy under its own practices. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Parumbo is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.
