Does it work offline?
Yes, completely. Tidy scans your photo library on your iPhone, so it works in airplane mode. No photo, video, thumbnail, or anything derived from them ever leaves your device.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for and no login.
Can I lose photos?
You’re in control of every deletion. Tidy only suggests items — you choose what to remove and confirm each action. Deletions use Apple’s standard Photos deletion, so removed items go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where you can restore them for 30 days. As always, keep your usual backups (e.g. iCloud Photos) too.
What does Tidy find?
Duplicates, screenshots, similar shots, bursts, large videos, blurry photos, receipts & document scans, and Live Photos — each ranked by the storage you’d get back. Converting a Live Photo to a still frees the paired video and keeps the picture.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Tidy, go to Settings (or the unlock screen), and tap Restore Purchase while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.
Why is the recovered space a bit different from the estimate?
The “space recoverable” figures are estimates. The exact bytes the system reclaims can differ slightly, and space is fully freed only after Recently Deleted is emptied — automatically after 30 days, or manually in the Photos app.
Some photos couldn’t be checked — why?
They’re likely stored in iCloud rather than on the device. Tidy can run a deeper pass that downloads them so they’re included in the scan.
