These Terms govern your use of the TipVault iPhone app (“the app”), developed by Vladyslav Prykhodko (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (the “Usage Rules”). This license does not transfer ownership of the app to you.
2. What the app does
TipVault helps you record tips, hours, jobs, and related income on your device, and shows calculations such as take-home after tip-out, real hourly pay, and an optional tax set-aside. These figures are based on what you enter and are only as accurate as your own input.
3. Not financial or tax advice
TipVault is a record-keeping and estimation tool, not tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. The tax set-aside is a simple estimate you configure — it is not a calculation of what you owe, and it does not account for your full tax situation. You are responsible for your own tax reporting and for verifying any figures before relying on them. Consult a qualified professional for advice about your taxes and finances.
4. Your content and your responsibility
Your shifts, income data, and notes are yours. They are stored on your device, and synced only to your own private iCloud if you choose to enable iCloud backup; they are not uploaded to us (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your own records as your laws require.
5. Free tier and subscription
TipVault offers a free tier (logging, daily/weekly totals, real hourly pay, tip-out math, and CSV export) and an optional TipVault Plus subscription (auto-renewable, monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan) that unlocks month/year history, multiple jobs, PDF income reports, and iCloud backup.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled; the full terms, prices, trial, and cancellation steps are on the Subscriptions page. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under Apple’s refund policy. Purchases can be restored on your devices using the same Apple ID via Restore Purchases.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to infringe other people’s rights, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse it beyond what the Usage Rules allow.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any calculation, total, or estimate it shows will be accurate or complete.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or any tax, financial, or other loss, arising from your use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
9. Apple
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version is always posted at this URL, with the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
