These Terms govern your use of the Saylen iPhone app (“the app”), developed by Vladyslav Prykhodko (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (the “Usage Rules”). This license does not transfer ownership of the app to you.
2. What the app does
Saylen records or imports audio and video and transcribes it into text on your device. The accuracy of automatic transcription varies with audio quality, accents, background noise, and language; Saylen does not guarantee a perfect transcript.
3. Your content and your responsibility
Your recordings and transcripts are yours. They are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to record and transcribe the audio you use, and for following the laws that apply to you — including consent and recording laws in your jurisdiction.
4. Free tier, subscriptions, and Lifetime
Saylen offers a free tier (every language, with a monthly limit on transcription hours), an optional Pro subscription (auto-renewable, monthly or yearly) that removes the limit and unlocks premium export formats, and an optional one-time Lifetime purchase that unlocks the same features without a subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; the full terms, prices, and cancellation steps are on the Subscriptions page. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under Apple’s refund policy. Purchases can be restored on your devices using the same Apple ID via Restore Purchases.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to infringe other people’s rights, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse it beyond what the Usage Rules allow.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that transcripts will be accurate or complete.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
8. Apple
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version is always posted at this URL, with the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
